We found Dove in a Soapless Place.

Gosh.

Why do I always desire things that are beyond my reach?
In this case, I mean beneath me? But perhaps above me?
It's no laughing matter. Bah.

The hazard of having a public blog is that you live with the fear that your carefully cloaked mysteries may be unlocked by someone.

I love pretty houses. (Now, what's wrong in that? The only person who could vaguely understand this allusion thankfully doesn't read my blog)

Idle, wishful thinking aside, I'm here because I don't want to be there.
Took Papers today and died.
RIP.

(Atleast I'm not the only one who thinks Ed Westwick and Robert Pattinson look alike)

^A hopeless parody of We Found Love. Very apt right now.

Right To Blog Randomly (RTBR, 2013)

Haylo!

Feeling happy today, so I thought I'll blog a bit and spend the night productively.

What is the single most unfair advantage one can have?
Needing less sleep.
(Quora)

Why did the other team even bother to play? The pointlessness of playing against the team with Gayle.
I've been watching cricket lately. I wonder if I've genuinely developed an interest or it serves as a convenient distraction O.o

I've been watching TV otherwise too. But if I steer clear of the big bad box during the first half of the day, the day goes well. After all, it's no sin to watch Sheldon Cooper.
PS: Don't you think Leonard Hoffstader bears an uncanny resemblance to Saif Ali Khan?

I often wonder, why don't I blog the way I used to. It doesn't really make sense to expect that. These are just phases. Who knows, a year or two from now, I might resort to 120 character updates on my blog instead of being active on Twitter *shudders*

So what am I upto these days?

  • Sleeping. (Just can't get enough)
  • Hogging. (On all things remotely edible)
  • Surreptitiously watching CNN (Don't even ask)
  • Taking papers (CET, COMEDK), analyzing and panicking.
Here's what Biddi's upto these days:

Watering the plants!

Beer-lingamma. Di's BFF?! :)
If only Di could take a leaf out of her cool sister's book. -.-

Being sane in random moments that occur for  minute fractions of a second.

Yayy! Look at what I found!! :P

Byeeee.

(The horrors of my forgotten posts continue to haunt me. Eep)

Keys. Quidditch. Empire State of Mind. :)

Hello.
One must often sit and wonder what they want from life.
It can leave you were you started, or more confused than ever or else there's that 'Eureka' moment (according to all famous people) when you find the road map to success in your life.

I spoke to Pri. (Based on the conversation, I assure you that she is still a Hodo. Aww) <3
As usual Medha is loony. (Girl claims to be able to focus after gorging on Burgers. -.- )

I'm watching Cricket these days! Nobody seems more surprised than myself. But honestly, some games seem too exciting to be natural. How legit is IPL really?
^Title: Alicia Keys- Empire State of Mind. (The Song)
{Alicia Spinnet- Quidditch Player. Incidentally, Keys was born on 25th}

Bye.
(Kudlets is a funny word.)

Peeved about the Music Scholarship. But I guess it's because I know I don't deserve it.
In the state of 'Disturbia'. -.-

Lessons In Life.

#1 It's an uphill ride.

#2 Don't worry and crib. Doesn't change anything.

#3 Stay Hopeful. "When the going gets tough, the tough get going."

#4 Happiness is within. "It's the little things that make life great."

"One day your life will flash before your eyes. Make sure it's worth watching."

#5 Don't forget to stop and smell the roses. Have memories to cherish.

#just setting up my twtr

^ That's an epic tweet by Jack Dorsey. (March 21 '06)

I'm confounded why I set up my twitter account years ago under a different name. An interesting, different name.

All Twilight Haters, Head here! http://vampychronicles.wordpress.com/

The Awesomest place to get a good laugh. #GoshStephanieMeyer.
<3 This Site. It really makes The Twilight series readable.

As a Joke Book.  -.-

Ha, so anyway, on 5th April I went to this place.
I don't know how much of it I can share here.

So it was really good. Mainly because there were so many people all sailing in the same boat. It was good to see that many families turned up. True, I was the youngest but here, age didn't matter. We were united by a common thread. A common challenge that we deal with as a part of our lives. A 'support group' like this can really make a difference. Because, for the most part, we don't share this with the world. To know that somewhere, somebody else is also dealing with the same issues can make you more optimistic.

The so called 'circle' because much smaller in our cases. To such an extent that social interactions reduce drastically. Papa didn't come. Mama couldn't make it. Yet, I didn't feel lonely. I felt at home.

What these social workers are doing is also commendable. Most of them joined the profession because of their experiences and today they believe they too have improved as individuals.

So we all spoke about our experiences, asked questions from the doctors present and we even had a quiz and a game. I KNOW, I ended up spending longer than I had intended to, but it made me feel better.

Like Papa said, most of them had 'lost' several years of their life in this process. They made sacrifices, gave up opportunities, reduced social interactions and had a lower quality of life. All in the hope for an individual.

And in that respect,I can't question Papa's decision but commend him for the last 20 years.

3000 words plus a few more.

A Long time ago?  Not really. Back to the same Us

Far away

Kothi. Aww.

I read The Book Thief by Markus Zusak and reread Doctors by Eric Segal.

6th March, 2013 : Radio Gaga

  • Tune into any radiostation and brace yourself for the barrage of advertisements. Ranging from Real Estate (Zonasha Paradiso) to silks and even schools. What is particularly galling is that occasional ad about an ordinary property at a godforsaken end of the city having the usual amenities but voiced in the most sultry/throaty voice possible. Gosh, the nerve.
  • How is that silly voice supposed to attract me towards buying a piece of land?
  • Or how about that ad which proclaims "Now everybody wants to get married!". Sheesh.
  • And when hospitals begin to advertise commercially, I tend to wonder if I'm too idealistic.
  • There is that sheepish moment when you begin to take note of the new song you're listening to when suddenly, it hits you; It's not a movie song. It's a cunningly composed Advertisement.
  • All this is bearable and well within "limits" because when you hear a father informing a child (financially inclined, whatte prodigy!) about a certain mutual fund/ insurance policy you can't help but wonder what's wrong with the world. And our finance-Champ doesn't stop there. "Papa, can I also have this policy?" #FacePalm
  • Kindly tell me why a Chinese guy mumbing his Cantonese will entice me to try their technology? Even if its the exotic sounding foot reflexology.
  • Any advertisement veteran will dismiss by laments with a languid "We Mean Business" or suchlike but I'm still the naive idealist.
  • True enough, they want to sell their product. But why make it so blatantly obvious? (!) I've seen and heard some very creative/ intelligent ads that do a lot more than stubbornly insist that we buy their wares.

Now let me appreciate the esteemed RJs/MJs in their venerable radio waves.
  • Most are bearable. I'll go even further to say that some are even good. I don't wish to be critical because going on air knowing that half the city is listening to you can be an intimidating fact. From exam tension related talk to the latest buzz in Btown, Radio hosts surely deserve credit for innovation and spreading cheer.
  • Most RJs have interesting shows and are up to date with the latest news ("I wish I had such a high IQ!" ) and even conduct polls "Do you think Rahul Gandhi is right in deciding not to marry and start a family (sic) ?" [Yeah. Ok.]
  • The Bakra/ Supari/ Shendi where they prank an unsuspecting soul is pretty hilarious.
  • RJs have certainly come a long way from 2007-08 when my favorite RJs were RJ Pavithra and RJ Pallavi.
  • The frankness of some RJs can be disarming.("It's a mad morning!") The other tidbits like "Koffee with Kiran" or "Sultan's School of Speech" oscillate between garish/borderline vulgar and funny.
  • The occasional irritants are those who sound too lazy and lackadaisical or with interesting pronunciation. (I know Women's Day is around the corner but what is this about "Wemen"? Or is it, God forbid, Wee-Men?!)
  • Are some voices modified to sound more "Radio Friendly"? Because, surely, not every male is blessed with that deep baritone (HAHAHA. *Cough*) or every female with a glamorous sounding sexy voice. (What am I saying?)
  • How these composers manage to give a seemingly simple number like 94.3 or 93.5 a tune is beyond me. Interesting or not, after some time it tends to grate on (my) ears.

Oh Yes, amidst all of this, there are the Songs!
  • What I appreciate is the Sunday/Thursday show at 10pm on Radio Indigo hosted by Dr. Shyam Bhat to address issues of a few people related to family, career and relationships. Good Job :)
  • All said and done, whether its 94.3, 91.9, 104 93.5 FM (or even 102.9 and 100.1 which surreptitiously listen to), a friendly voice is always a great comfort (when your away from friends and family in a hostel).

All said and done, it's a LOT  better than listening to the monotony of 95.6 MHz.

  • Written when Radio was a companion.

It's Raining. -.-

My point is something else.
Warning: Does NOT refer to anybody in particular. Kindly don't hyperventilate. Kthanksbye.

What to do when  someone you know lets you down?
I don't mean it that way. But maybe it's also got to do with what I'm expecting from any relationship.

But it sure as hell is Awkward when someone you know isn't what they were anymore.
Currently I'm feeling this regarding so many folks.

But what amuses me is that how people manage to be judgemental when they know not even half the story! Well, I can only quote the apt dialogue from English Vinglish "Judge Mental".

Bottomline, I probably should have gone alone to Sapna.

Footnote: I probably have a problem with saying No. :o
