The Best Of Both Worlds.

This phrase applies to me to a great extent. I shall Elaborate later. In every aspect of life, this is my life. I have the best of both worlds.

  • I get along well with mostly everybody.
I mean I don't have a problem with anybody.Yes, I dislike some things in people,I don't hate the people themselves.I don't completely fit in any category. And that makes me special.I flit in and out with ease through both worlds.Sometimes Its hard.
Basically the point is, A and C might hate each other. But I am B. I get the best of both. I like both. Both are a part of my life. Both (obviously) have drawbacks. But I'm lucky.
  • I get to see the different facets of life.
I don't really know how to elaborate on this.I have seen extreme poverty as well as extreme affluence.I believe I am in the middle.I get to see both. It's a safe place.I get to know about people, stories of human kindness, cruelty, wickedness, love, desire, hatred. it's a complex world.I'm happy to know, to understand more, to hear about "Reality"..

I'm too sleepy to make any more sense....

I don't know when I'm going to blog again. Sayonara....No, Hasta La Vista......

Good Night.(Anusha?)

Garuda Girls.

Note: Internet speed is crappy now.

25th March 2011

It started out well after a little confusion about the MoT (mode of transportation). Dad was dropping rachana and me to Jayanagar. At the bus stand I aw Sumana walking with some other girl. She looked good too.Slowly, It hit us.It was Neha! She'd got a haircut the previous day.The change was Remarkable!

Soon Akshata arrived and after a short chat we decided to breakfast at Dosa camp (It has a new name.I don't remember, Ganesh darshan huh?) I wasn't hungry so after some of us had some food we walked back to the bus stand. Now finding the right bus was quite a confusion and after much ado and a strawberry Milk shake we got into a bus.
I was busy eavesdropping in the bus while Ananya was hovering around.Soon,we reached M.G.Road and walked a bit. After following a traffic policeman's instruction that "The Garuda" is the first building, we reached our Destination!

We first entered Westside and believe me, It looks really awkward when 12 girls troop into a store without the least inclination to buy anything (And that expression written on all 12 faces). I BADLY wanted to execute my plan but not at the cost of my sanity. So I sadly moved on.Shopper's Stop had good dresses and after that twas CrossWord!

I knew I wanted to buy something. And I wanted to buy good ones.So I didn't bother about anybody and was lost in a trance finding the right book. After a lot of mulling over and pondering over the cost, I purchased "Time Stops At Shamli and Other Sories" - Ruskin Bond and "Gently Falls The Bakula"-Sudha Murty.( Incidentally, I've finished reading both!)
Of Course, we got dirty looks from the dirty woman there for un-sophisticated behavior.

Then It was time for Khana! Rach and I ate at Beijing Bites and had a pretty good meal. The rest mostly ate North Indian (Veg By Nature) and Pizza. Soon after, i splurged on a Hot Chocolate Fudge (Yum!). Oh and we had a real good photo session as well. (I finally got a good pic with Mani)

After this was the (un)Scary House. Just as we (Dhruti didn't come) were about to enter, a man (and presumably his wife) came out looking rather terrified and said "Don't go! Don't go!". i was a bit nervous. The last time I had gone was with dad so i was braver. With friends, I didn't know what to expect. Also I was leading (With rach..)

We entered and a loud sound objected our entry.Immediately the air was filled with hysterical screams. Suddenly I heard Aks say," I lost my slipper!" .Poor girl ahd to walk there  without it. Rach and I kept a constant chatter filled with inane rubbish like "Hee hee Hee hee Hee", " Calm Down! It's just a joke!". Yeah, Skulls, Corpses and other such rubbish punctuated by unearthly wails or cackles. Somehow we got through and reached the end.At this point, Apparently, a body rose and this frightened those behind me to push frantically resulting in me stumbling out of the depressing building. My right leg ached a lil but soon it was fine. It was Nothing great.I wish Dee had come. Maybe it was a lil fun, after all.Nothing great but.

Next was The Mirror Maze and this was not bad. We took longer here.A bunch of younger girls screamed about for everything and this rather spoilt the  experience. The stretch after this was really pretty. We walked out casually much to the surprise of the onlookers.(Neha wanted to capture my horrified expression but that never existed.

Amoeba was awesome! We enjoyed with the hammer game and got snickers from our winnings. It was a laugh riot and an exhilarating experience.

Soon, it was time to go.We got out of the mall and clicked pictures again. Again we were confused how to go back. After what seemed like several hours we began walking.I suddenly began to see several Herbalife Advertisments.I looked around and saw the office.I saw and i10.I saw Ma! I called her.
She:Where are you?
Me:I'm behind you.
She (Looks Around): Oh!!!!
Expression=Priceless!

After this we proceeded to the bus stand got into one and got down at Jayadeva.I was tired and my feet were aching. After another bus ride we reached Jayanagar.Had a Slice and said Bai and each went their way.

Rach and I walked to her Dad's office. We sat and texted each other and I additionally killed mosquitos.Drizzled a bit. Spoke a little bit.Texted a little bit more.
Met dad on the way and got dropped home.Sat at home and read 3 things. Nearly Cried.

In Limbo.

I just Finished My Board Exam.
I couldn't Be Happier.

Now for some Serious Blogging.
Since when Haven't I blogged Soulfully?
I'll Say December.

December 2010
Was Eventful. *Scratches Head to Remember what Happened*
Before That Of Course, We Had School day. And that was nice (not the programmes, YUCK!). And How Did We Go? Some Of  us car, rest I forgot. We Had fun. Vidhathri was our in-house photographer. Food was good. My whims and fancies were not satisfied. So I went home hungry.

(Note to self : Stop Giving SO much importance to casing! )

Moving On, December I was busy with Babysitting and Studying. It was an emo-taxing month. I aced it. And Yes! I saw a real Live Fire!
31st Dec 2010
Divya And Me playing in the room when I here a loud Sound. We ignore it. I see smoke wafting through the open front door and think "OK, That's Odd.". Then the rest of the family noticed this. Mama went down to see what was wrong and immediately rushed up saying that there was a fire. Panic. Excitement (Me: Duh!). Tension. Fear. You get it. So then, Mama and rushed down with Divya in my arms. (That kiddo was lovin' the excitement!) Then we screamed for Atthe to rush down in whatever she was wearing. As we rushed down,  thick black smoke was emanating from the switch board. After everybody was safe downstairs, they poured water  and the fire was extinguished easily. (Later we got to know that the neighbors had a fire extinguisher. For What Joy?)
After that began the arduous process of changing the wiring in the entire house. And that was december.

January 2011
2nd Preparatory began and sadly I had an exam on my birthday. Nothin Much, except that we went our for dinner. (Probably the Lamest birthday Ever.) And not many people even remembered. 25th Jan wasn't a day I would like to remember. And my foolish dreams never came true. :( Did I cry that day? Maybe. I had Computer Exam. 'Twas a sad way to welcome 17.
A few days after this we shifted again. And I'm happy here.(So-so)
After 2nd preparatory there wasn't much. Except that we had holidays to prepare for Boards.

February 2011
  • Fantasizing about holidays.
  • Wondering what to blog.
  • Studying.
Graduation was nice. And I loved the Van trip back to school. I won't forget that. Slowly, somewhere the sinking feeling that "we're going to separate" began. I didn't cry. I sat on a duck. I loved the day. I wish it had never ended.

Last day of school was another hilarious outing. Oh Yes, Pooja was going on....

I'll blog later. must Babysit and cook and become a domestic Idiot.

11:49 PM

I'm back. And I neither cooked or cleaned. :P Went and sat in M.N. Krishna Rao Park and observed birds (both varieties) and played with Guddi.

Also I forgot that December was a great month for one thing.
I really enjoyed my time with Divya (Although I moaned and groaned about it!) I still remember the night when I found the whole set up hard to bear and I had Anusha to give me a few comforting words. (I had complained that i had got only 6 hours of Sleep... Now, that seems so much!)
January was not that Bad as i made it out to be either. I mean I had Fishes (Yeah we got an aquarium) and Books for company.
Latest Books Read:

  1. Jo's Boys :Louisa May Alcott
  2. Rusty: Ruskin Bond
  3. All Roads Lead to Ganga: Ruskin Bond

  7. 3 mistakes of my life
  8. 5 point someone
  9. Oh Baby! (Again!)
  10. That Book by Kamala Markandeya (forgot the name, not the story..)
Yes, not bad.But nothing great either.I'm gonna buy books this summer (As Usual)

Grad was great actually. I know I'll look back and miss that day like hell.I guess that happens to everybody. We need to adapt, acclimatize to new situations. Which is why I agree with Chandana Ma'am that I'm perspicacious. True, I was initially hesitant to look it up in the dictionary.I believe I deserve that. That's my strength. Not my weakness.

This whole year has been a great journey.
Here's the speech I wrote for the Farewell that got umm..4 votes? (Duh! I'm unpopular)
But I don't need votes to put anything in my blog. And I loved what I wrote, so here it is:

*Basically my system crashed.
 So the software problem persists.
 Please be patient.

Dad is asking me "What Next?" repetitively. And I'm as clueless as my sister. Oh No.
Back to the same old topic.I must wait until results.yet, that's not possible.Ahh!

I hope tomorrow is going to be Fun! Hmmm.. Garuda girls!
Spamming Karthik Karanth has been fun.
I think I need to do something different this summer.

  2. Sing

Summer :)

Shimla is the capital city of Himachal Pradesh. In 1864, Shimla was declared the summer capital of the British Raj in India. A popular tourist destination, Shimla is often referred to as the "Queen of Hills," a term coined by the British. Located in the north-west Himalayas at an average altitude of 2,205 metres (7,234 ft), the city of Shimla, draped in forests of pine, rhododendron, and oak, experiences pleasant summers and cold, snowy winters. The city is famous for its buildings styled in tudorbethan and neo-gothic architecture dating from the colonial era. Shimla is connected to the city of Kalka by one of the longest narrow gauge railway routes still operating in India, the Kalka-Shimla Railway. Shimla is approximately 115 km (71.4 miles) from Chandigarh, the nearest major city, and 365 km (226.8 miles) from New Delhi, the national capital. The city is named after the goddess Shyamala Devi, an incarnation of the Hindu Goddess Kali.

The Kalka-Shimla Railway is a 2 ft 6 in (762 mm) narrow gauge railway in North-West IndiaKalka to Shimla. It is known for breathtaking views of the hills and surrounding villages. travelling along a mostly mountainous route.

Located on the banks of the River Yamuna, Delhi has been known to be continuously inhabited since at least the 6th century BCE, though human habitation is believed to have existed since the second millennium BCE. Delhi is also widely believed to have been the site of Indraprastha, the legendary capital of the Pandavas during the times of the Mahabharata. Delhi re-emerged as a major political, cultural and commercial city along the trade routes between northwest India and the Gangetic plain after the rise of the Delhi sultanates. It is the site of many ancient and medieval monuments, archaeological sites and remains. In 1639, Mughal emperor Shahjahan built a new walled city in Delhi which served as the capital of the Mughal Empire from 1649 to 1857.
After the British East India Company had gained control of much of India during the 18th and 19th centuries, Calcutta became the capital both under Company rule and under the British Raj, until George V announced in 1911 that it was to move back to Delhi. A new capital city, New Delhi, was built to the south of the old city during the 1920s. When India gained independence from British rule in 1947, New Delhi was declared its capital and seat of government. As such, New Delhi houses important offices of the federal government, including the Parliament of India, as well as numerous national museums, monuments, and art galleries.
Owing to the migration of people from across the country, Delhi has grown to be a multicultural, cosmopolitan metropolis. Its rapid development and urbanisation, coupled with the relatively high average income of its population, has transformed Delhi into a major cultural, political, and commercial centre of India.
